Call Notes

Access meeting summaries, key points, and action items from your live calls

Last updated: 12/12/2025

Call Notes provide reports of your live calls, automatically extracting key information, important points, and action items from your meeting conversations. Access call notes directly in your Call Logs or receive them via email after each call.

Overview

Call Notes are automatically generated for live calls where Syrenn's AI bot participated. They include:

  • Meeting Summary: A comprehensive overview of the conversation
  • Key Points: Important topics and decisions discussed during the call
  • Action Items: Tasks and follow-ups identified from the conversation

💡 Tip: Call Notes are only available for live calls where an AI bot joined and recorded the meeting. They are not generated for training scenarios.

Accessing Call Notes in Call Logs

Viewing Call Notes

  1. Navigate to Call Logs in the sidebar
  2. Switch to the Live Calls view using the toggle at the top
  3. Click on any live call entry to open the detailed view
  4. Select the Call Notes tab to view call notes

Call Notes Tab Structure

The Call Notes tab displays information in an organized, easy-to-read format:

Summary

Quick overview of what was discussed in the meeting.

Key Points

Important topics, decisions, and highlights from the conversation.

Action Items

Tasks, follow-ups, and commitments mentioned during the call.

Recording (Optional)

Full video recording of the meeting for review. Only available if playback is enabled in your settings.

Email Delivery

Automatic Email Distribution

When enabled, Call Notes are automatically sent via email after the call ends. You can choose who receives the emails.

Email Recipients

When call notes are enabled, you can choose who receives the emails:

  • Meeting Owner Only (Recommended): Only the person who created the calendar event receives the email
  • All Attendees: All participants listed in the calendar event receive the email

Configuring Email Recipients

  1. Navigate to Integrations > Calendar Provider > Email in your Syrenn dashboard
  2. Toggle Send call notes to enabled
  3. Select your preferred recipient option:
    • "Only send to me" - for private call notes
    • "Send to all meeting attendees" - for shared call notes
  4. Click Save Settings

💡 Tip: Email delivery must be enabled in your Live Call Settings before the call takes place. Changes to email settings apply to future calls only.

Privacy and Access

  • Meeting Owner: The person who created the calendar event
  • Access Control: Recipients can view call notes via email without needing a Syrenn account
  • Organization Settings: Email delivery respects your organization's privacy and sharing policies

Best Practices

1. Review Before Sharing

  • Check call notes in Call Logs before important meetings
  • Ensure accuracy of key points and action items
  • Edit or supplement notes if needed (if editing is available)

2. Use for Follow-Up

  • Reference action items when scheduling follow-up meetings
  • Share key points with team members who couldn't attend
  • Use summaries for meeting documentation and records

3. Email Management

  • Enable email delivery for meetings where attendees need quick access
  • Consider disabling for internal-only meetings if preferred
  • Use email summaries to keep stakeholders informed

4. Integration with Workflows

  • Copy action items to your task management system
  • Share key points in team communication channels
  • Archive summaries for future reference

Understanding Call Notes Generation

How Call Notes Are Created

Call Notes are generated using AI analysis of the meeting transcript:

  1. Recording: The AI bot records and transcribes the meeting
  2. Analysis: AI processes the transcript to identify important information
  3. Extraction: Key points, summaries, and action items are extracted
  4. Formatting: Information is organized into structured sections
  5. Delivery: Notes are made available in Call Logs and sent via email (if enabled)

Accuracy and Limitations

  • AI-Generated: Notes are automatically generated and may require review
  • Context-Dependent: Accuracy improves with clear audio and captions
  • Language Support: Currently optimized for English conversations
  • Meeting Quality: Best results when meeting captions are enabled

⚠️ Important: Always verify critical information from call notes, especially action items and commitments, before taking action.

Integration with Other Features

Call Logs Integration

Call Notes are part of your complete call record:

Live Call Settings

Call Notes work with your Live Call Settings:

  • Email delivery controlled by email settings
  • Recording availability depends on playback settings
  • Generation requires successful bot participation

Call Notes Not Available

If you don't see call notes for a live call:

  • Verify the AI bot successfully joined and recorded the meeting
  • Check that meeting captions were enabled during the call
  • Ensure the call has been processed (may take a few minutes after the call ends)
  • Confirm the call type is "Live Call" (not a training scenario)

Email Not Received

If attendees didn't receive call notes email:

  • Verify email delivery is enabled in Live Call Settings
  • Check that the setting was enabled before the call took place
  • Confirm attendee email addresses are correct in the calendar event
  • Check spam/junk folders for the email

Incomplete or Inaccurate Notes

If call notes seem incomplete or inaccurate:

  • Verify meeting captions were enabled and working properly
  • Check audio quality during the meeting
  • Review the transcript to see what was captured
  • Contact support if issues persist
