Last updated: 7/18/2025

Understanding the call process helps you get the most out of your training scenarios. This guide explains what happens from the moment you start a call until you receive your feedback.

Before the Call

Scenario Setup

When you click "Play Scenario":

  • Scenario Loading: The system prepares the AI buyer and conversation flow
  • Audio Check: Your browser may request microphone permissions
  • Context Loading: The AI receives information about the scenario, persona, product, and objectives

What the AI Knows

The AI buyer is configured with:

  • Persona Details: Name, job title, company, personality traits
  • Scenario Context: Background information and situation
  • Call Purpose: The type of sales call (discovery, closing, etc.)
  • Product Information: Details about what you're selling
  • Potential Objections: Concerns the buyer might raise

During the Call

Real-Time Processing

As you speak:

  • Speech Recognition: Your voice is converted to text in real-time
  • Context Analysis: The AI understands what you're saying and the conversation context
  • Response Generation: The AI generates appropriate responses based on the scenario
  • Flow Management: The conversation progresses according to the scenario design

AI Response Types

The AI buyer can:

  • Answer Questions: Respond to your discovery questions
  • Raise Objections: Introduce concerns for you to address
  • Provide Information: Share details about their situation
  • Guide the Conversation: Keep the dialogue moving toward objectives
  • End the Call: Conclude when appropriate

Conversation Flow

The call typically follows this pattern:

  1. Introduction: AI introduces themselves and the context
  2. Discovery: You ask questions to understand their needs
  3. Value Presentation: You present your solution
  4. Objection Handling: You address their concerns
  5. Closing: You work toward your call objective
  6. Conclusion: The call ends naturally

Call Completion

Natural Endings

The call ends when:

  • Objective Achieved: You've successfully completed your call purpose
  • Scenario Complete: The conversation has reached its designed conclusion
  • Time Limit: The scenario has a maximum duration
  • AI Decision: The AI determines the conversation should end

What Triggers the End

Common ending triggers:

  • Successful Close: You've achieved your call objective
  • Buyer Decision: The AI buyer makes a decision (positive or negative)
  • Follow-up Scheduled: You've arranged a next step
  • Natural Conclusion: The conversation has reached a logical endpoint

After the Call

Processing Phase

When the call ends:

  • Transcript Analysis: The complete conversation is analyzed
  • Performance Evaluation: Your responses are scored against the scorecard criteria
  • Feedback Generation: Detailed feedback is created
  • Data Storage: Results are saved for analytics and tracking

Evaluation Process

Your performance is evaluated on:

  • Scorecard Criteria: Specific skills and techniques
  • Call Objective: How well you achieved your goal
  • Conversation Quality: Overall effectiveness of the dialogue
  • Technical Skills: Questioning, objection handling, closing, etc.

Understanding Your Results

After the call ends, you'll receive immediate feedback including your overall score, detailed breakdown by evaluation criteria, strengths, and areas for improvement.
